SEARCHING FOR THE HIDDEN HEART OF SWITZERLAND
If you grow up here, the complex geographic, cultural, and language boundaries of Switzerland must seem completely normal. But, for a foreigner or 'Auslander', like me, it can be a real challenge to wrap your mind around. Four native languages with over 20 dialects of Swiss German alone sharing an area smaller than most US states!
That said, the idea of this project is pretty simple: see something of each of Switzerland's 26 Cantons in 2024 to get a better handle on Swiss geography. Other than visiting each Canton, there are no real rules. A visit could be a hike, a city tour, a boat ride, or even a museum.
